Large Fuel Spill In Lebanese Waters

In a post shared by the Lebanese Civil Defense on Facebook, it was announced that a fuel spill was currently being handled in Lebanese waters.



The post detailed that the spill had taken place in the waters near the Zouk plant, with a large amount of fuel having leaked from the a pipe between the plant and the power ship Fatimagul. The members of the Maritime Rescue Unit of the Civil Defense immediately took to extracting the spill and minimize the damage to waters.

The unit stated that they will continue to work on the site until the pollution is completely lifted.
