UNESCO Honors Two Lebanese Scientists On International Day Of Women And Girls In Science

Every year in celebration of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, L’Oréal Foundation and UNESCO host an event during which they honor five exceptional female scientists from different regions around the world.

Among this year’s honorees are two Lebanese scientists: Dr. Laura-Joy Boulos who was recognized for her work with creating tools from neuroscience and artificial intelligence to assist humans in decision-making under uncertainty, and Professor Abla Mehio Sibai who was recognized for her pioneer work in research and advocacy to improve healthy aging in low and middle income countries and their impact on health and social policy programs.

We’re proud of these amazing Lebanese pioneers who are leading the charge in scientific fields!
