The Lebanese parliament, during today’s legislative session held at UNESCO, passed the draft law legalizing the cultivation of marijuana for medicinal purposes. It is unclear whether the cannabis would then be sold locally or not.
This comes just two months after the parliament’s joint committee approved the legalization of marijuana for medical purposes, and the draft law was transferred to the assembly for review.
This is anticipated to be a great source of revenue for the government and for growers, and a huge step towards our society adopting more progressive scientific updates that are already available around the world.
