Last Night In Lebanon: Blocked Roads And Protestor Shot
Last night in several areas around Lebanon, people gathered and blocked roads in protest of the consistently rising exchange rate of the dollar, as well as the devastatingly increasing cost of living.
The protests spread across Zalka and Tripoli, with road blocks in Naameh and Saadnayel, among other areas. In a troubling incident that took place in Zalka protest, it was revealed that a young man named Georges Mousallem was allegedly shot and is recovering at the hospital. There has yet to be a statement regarding who fired at Mousallem. We wish him a speedy recovery.
