Murderer Of Hussein Attar, First Revolution Martyr Finally Arrested
Finally, slight hope of justice in the country.
Hussein Attar’s murderer, Khalil Awwad, has finally been arrested, according to his cousin Journalist Jaafar Attar.
Hussein Attar was the revolution’s very first martyr. He had taken to the streets alongside many to protest for a better future, but was attacked and shot point-blank on October 19 for bravely standing up to thugs who were charging people money to drive them to the airport when the revolution first kicked off and all roads were closed.
According to bystanders, Hussein wanted to ensure that no one was taking advantage of the situation. So he was brutally murdered, and his killer had been on the run for 7 months now.
We sincerely hope that his murderer will be brought to justice, and that this will bring his grief-stricken family some comfort, knowing that the person who took their son’s life has been put behind bars.
