American clothing store
Forever 21 has announced that it will be closing down indefinitely in Beirut.
The store is located on Level 2 in
City Centre Beirut, and was met with a lot of excitement when it first opened in Lebanon in 2015. The chain prides itself with selling the latest fads in clothes, accessories, and shoes for young women.
Towards the end of 2019, Forever 21 filed for bankruptcy worldwide, and said it plans to
“exit most international locations in Asia and Europe”.
We’re not entirely sure if the financial and economic crisis in Lebanon sped up the process of their closing, as it had forced many companies and businesses to shut down locally.
Could other international clothing stores also follow suit?
