Brands for Less Closes All Branches Until Further Notice

Earlier this morning, we shared news of the local sporting goods store Mike Sport announcing that they will be closing down all their branches until further notice, it now seems that the popular outlet Brands for Less has joined in.

In what seems to be an act of protest, both companies have put up similar Instagram posts with the same message and the same hashtag #WeAreHereToStay.


“Because we refuse to give up our business ethics, abuse our customers’ trust, and uncontrollably raise our prices, we are closing all our stores until further notice. We are in this crisis together. #WeAreHereToStay,” read the post.

This announcement appears to be a form of strike against the ever increasing price of the dollar which has made it impossible for companies to price their goods at a profit due to the dwindling value of the Lebanese Lira.

It is unclear what the state’s economic plan is at this moment in time.
