The Maroun Semaan Faculty of Engineering and Architecture (MSFEA) at the
American University of Beirut has launched a post-disaster building structure safety hotline.
The hotline is an emergency engineering dispatch center for Beirut residents and businesses who are concerned about the structural safety of their buildings following the Beirut Port explosion.
The teams of engineers led by expert faculty members from MSFEA are on call for the coming weeks to visually assess buildings and provide free advice on the possibility of imminent danger stemming from structural damage, or from loose building elements that may fall.
The hotline can be reached at
81 610900 between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM, or by WhatsApp at any time and the teams will respond as fast as possible to schedule a site visit in your presence.
