9 Lebanese People On The Forbes 30 Under 30 List 2020
Forbes Middle East releases a “30 Under 30” list every year that recognizes 30 individuals who are under 30 and are committed to being a force for good and sustainability, seeking to impact their communities with their impressive and highly-accomplished young minds.
This year’s list recognized 9 Lebanese people as exemplary – meet them below.
Paul Barakat Diab & Elie Nahas
Barakat Diab and Nahas co-founded the adaptive e-learning platform ‘Augmental’ which provides students and teachers with course materials that can be adapted based on an individual’s performance, ability, and strengths.
Kamel Wehbe
Wehbe led on the production of a reform package with projects of unprecedented magnitude, included in the 2021 National Budget for implementation.
Abbas Sidaoui
Abbas Sidaoui, along with Wassim El Hariri who is based in Germany, co-founded Revotonix in 2018, the first startup in Lebanon and the Middle East region to specialized in developing fully autonomous mobile robots and mechatronics solutions.
Majed Halawi
Halawi leads the expansion (engineering and deployment) of high-tech greenhouses, working with engineering teams to increase efficiency, and collaborating with retail and wholesale partners to identify the best products to offer the market.
Nataly Naser Al Deen
Nasir Al Dine founded Pink Steps in 2015, an exercise support group for breast cancer survivors in Lebanon that aims to promote physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle. She has collaborated with Nobel Laureates such as Prof. Michael Rosbash and Prof. Harold E. Varmus.
Karim Ibrahim and Toufic Assaf
Both key players in Robocom VR, their main focus is location-based virtual reality entertainment. Robocom VR partnered with EMAAR in 2017 to open a VR theme park in Dubai Mall, creating all its content inhouse locally.
Nadim Habr
Habr is the founder and CEO of Designhubz, a company dedicated to building fully automated robotic rigs. The company works with online retailers to create immersive online shopping experiences and allows retailers to create interactive e-commerce stores.
