According to the
National News Agency, a Lebanese currency exchange dealer named Fayez Masri was kidnapped in broad daylight in Chtaura, Bekaa this morning.
The kidnapping was caught on tape and the video has been circulating on social media, with users outraged over the lack of security prevailing in the country.
The armed kidnappers have yet to get in touch with the victim’s family, which has increased tensions in the town. Consequently, locals have closed the Chtaura road in protest of the increasing kidnappings and thefts in the complete absence of the state.
We hope they find him at the soonest and bring him home safe and sound.
