6 Fantastic Things To Do In Beirut This Weekend

Weekends are all about family & friends, fun, and food. The following plans tick all these boxes, with a special emphasis on good food.

Check them out!

1. Grab an early coffee at Coco’s Cafe

A new pop up cafe in Furn el Chebbak is all the buzz because of its fantastic vibes and affordable coffee. When you arrive at Coco’s Cafe you’ll be greeted by Coco herself! Her warm smile and inviting nature will lure you in for a delicious cup of coffee. Coco often has feel-good tunes playing in the background, and the cafe’s colorful pop-up and friendly vibes are exactly what we need during these trying times.

2. Indulge in brunch at Sift Bakery

This new coffee shop and bakery in Badaro serves fresh bakes, mini and regular sized pastries, and coffee brewed to perfection. Its unique vibrant blue color and little terrace make for the perfect spot for a little downtime in the city. Make sure you stop by between 9 AM and 4 PM on Saturdays and Sundays for a taste of their homey and delicious brunch.

3. Go for a swim in the rooftop pool at Hotel Albergo

An oasis in the heart of the city, Hotel Albergo is a must-visit. The gorgeous property looks like something out of a fairytale, the kind of castle you’d expect to see in Cinderella. But it’s a Beirut gem situated in Achrafieh and it’s as real as can get. Their rooftop pool and terrace are absolutely stunning and make for the perfect place to bid farewell to summer. Make sure to get a reservation before.

4. Bite into a juicy burger at Burger Guys

Beloved Gemmayze spot Pizza Guys has decided to branch out and venture into the world of burgers… and we’re so glad they did. Burger Guys has the most delectable burgers waiting for you to indulge in, and they taste even better than they look.

5. Cool off with some ice cream at Orso Bianco

All it takes is one taste of Orso Bianco’s gelato and you’ll be transported to a family-owned gelateria in Cinque Terre. They have an impressive line-up of gelato tubs and handcrafted popsicles, as well as sorbetto and sorbetto sandwiches. You can never go wrong with any of their ice cream options.

6. Enjoy refreshing curbside drinks at Internazionale

This iconic Mar Mikhael spot is now open again after sustaining significant damage during Beirut’s explosion on August 4th. Their friendly staff and refreshing drinks have always been there for us when we needed them, so if you can, be sure to show them some love too.

P.S. No matter where you are or what you do, please wear a mask and social distance at all times.
