As The Number Of Active Coronavirus Cases Nears 40,000, Lebanese Government Amends Lockdown Measures

Following public pressure, the Lebanese caretaker government has amended lockdown measures, extending curfew hours and prohibiting parties and gatherings.

These new measures are effective as of today Monday November 2, and includes the following changes:

– Curfew between 9 PM and 5 AM.

-Pubs, bars, and nightclubs will be closed.

-Parties and gatherings are prohibited.

– Restaurants should adhere to 50% capacity.

The Ministry of Interior has put 115 municipalities on lockdown, almost double last week’s number. 

Citizens are still required to wear a mask in public, practice social distancing, and avoid large crowds and gatherings.
