Breaking: Lebanese Judge Indicts Hassan Diab And 3 Ex-Ministers Over Beirut Blast

According to Agence France-Presse (AFP), Judicial Investigator and Lebanese judge Fadi Sawan has indicted caretaker Prime Minister Hassan Diab and former ministers Ali Hasan Khalil, Ghazi Zeaiter, and Youssef Fenianos in the Beirut port blast case.

Local journalist Timour Azhari reports that the politicians had been charged with negligence, causing the death of hundreds and injury to thousands of others. They are set to be questioned next week according to a judicial source.

This comes as part of an investigation led into the port explosion in an attempt to find those responsible and hold them accountable.

Though President Michel Aoun had originally promised 5 days, it has been more than 4 months since the blast and the country has yet to receive answers.

If this investigation were to be genuine, then there are a lot of names that have yet to be summoned, including every Prime Minister, Minister, and official that served throughout the 6 years during which the ammonium nitrate was carelessly stored at the port.
