Mika Receives Lebanese National Order of Merit

In honor of his philanthropic work after the August 4 explosion, Lebanese born international artist Mika was awarded the Lebanese National Order of Merit – Silver Palm on January 11th. The French-Lebanese singer had organized the “I Love Beirut” concert that raised over 1 million Euro for the Red Cross and various charities.


Lebanese ambassador to France Rami Adwan gave Mika the badge and praised his achievements, stating that those who receive this merit are those “who succeed in collecting music, poetry, and art all at the same time. This is a token of appreciation for those who adhere to their Lebanese roots” .

Mika expressed his gratitude for this national honor on Instagram, saying that, “Lebanon flows through his veins, and im very proud of my heritage”.
