Ramy Ayach Against Criminalizing Child Marriage

During an interview with journalist Jaafar Abdul Karim on the show ‘Jaafar Talks,’ Lebanese singer and sort of actor Ramy Ayach made some stunning revelations that shocked and disgusted many.

When asked about whether or not he was FOR the law the criminalizes child marriage, Ayach confidently said, “No!”. He then went on to say that he is fine with 16 and 17 year olds being married. Ayach then added, “el calculation hiyye yally bit2arir” (the calculation is the determining factor). What calculation? Who knows.

He closed off his terrible argument by saying, “16 years old is acceptable”.
