Lebanese Twitter Reacts To Possible Sanctions On Riad Salame

According to Bloomberg, the United States administration is currently considering the possibility to imposing sanctions on Lebanon’s Central Bank governor, Riad Salame.

Bloomberg details the nature of the sanctions as possible being “focused on the possibility of freezing Salameh’s overseas assets and enacting measures that would curtail his ability to do business abroad”.

This is how Twitter reacted to the news:

If imposed, Salame would join the ranks of Gebran Bassil, Ali Hassan Khalil, and Youssef Finianos.
