Shocking Video Shows Insane Line At Gas Station
As Lebanon’s crises become more and more compounded, we are unfortunately getting used to normalizing the strangest of sights.
A video shared on Twitter earlier today shows an insane line of dozens of cars standing still outside a gas station, waiting to refuel. This video has become a regular sight in areas all around Lebanon.
This comes amid the looming lifting of fuel subsidies that is set to take place later this month. Fuel stations have been rationing fuel for over a week now, leaving people lined up for hours and only allowing them to fuel 30,000 LL’s worth.
It is suggested that many of these stations are hoarding fuel in anticipation of its price increasing, while others speculate that rampant smuggling and a dollar shortage have also impacted supply.
