Here Are Some Affordable Mental Health Services In Lebanon

While the Embrace Lifeline has been saving countless lives since its launch, the current fuel crisis has hindered its working hours and ability to provide the right help to those in need. We’ve compiled a list of NGOs and therapists providing affordable mental health services.

Here are some NGOs offering free and affordable mental health services:

1. Embrace Lebanon

Apart from Embrace’s support hotline (1564), they also have a walk-in clinic! If their hotline is not available, you can pay them a visit at their clinic on Makdessi Street in Hamra.

2. Idraac

This NGO is dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of mental health. They also have a community clinic in that you can visit and a hotline (03 730 475).

3. Blue Mission

This organization is committed to helping people who are facing hardships and who struggle to cope and heal from traumatic events. Their hotline for mental health support: 78 965 062.

4. LebMASH

LebMASH is a sexual health center focusing on members of the LBTQ+ community. Their website includes a list of LGBTQ-welcoming clinicians with their contact information.

LebMASH also has a helpline to protect LGBTQ+ individuals from conversion therapy efforts!

5. Imam Sadr Foundation

Imam Sadr Foundation (ISF) is partaking in the empowerment of women in Lebanon by providing a list of evolving and innovative social services targeting the most disadvantaged and vulnerable groups and offering mental health support, too.

6. Be Brave Beirut

This initiative provides free and anonymous emotional support during difficult times, with licensced psychologists to provide help to those who may need it.

7. Arcenciel

Arcenciel’s main goal is to work with and support people living with disabilities or other physical and psychological difficulties by providing medical and mental health services to those in need.

8. KAFA Violence & Exploitation

As part of the psychosocial support activities mainly aimed to help children, adolescents, and women, Kafa offers group support sessions that aim to empower and aid.

9. Lebanon For You

Apart from coaching you through difficult times, they also offer free therapy sessions by licensed psychologists!

10. Marsa Sexual Health Center

The main objective of the Marsa Sexual Health Center is to provide social, psychological, and medical services in complete confidentiality to all youth, adults and sexually active individuals in Lebanon; regardless of their gender, age, religion, social status and sexual orientation. They price their services in an affordable and accessible way.

11. Sidc Lebanon

A space free of stigma and discrimination, Sidc offers aid in substance abuse and mental health services.

12. Skoun Addiction Center

Skoun offers support counseling to people who have attended other treatment programs and are looking for continued care, helping you deal with day-to-day issues as they arise. This is especially useful considering the fact that economic stress and political instability may affect one’s sobriety.

13. Helem Lebanon

Helem is yet another initiative dedicated to LGBTQ+ individuals and other persons with non-conforming sexualities and/or gender identities. They are also equipped with a hotline: 71 916 146.
