Reactions To The Launch Of Ration Cards

The Minister of Social Affairs Ramzi Musharrafieh has just announced the launch of the ration card program for 500,000 families across Lebanon. This highly anticipated announcement was pitched over a year ago but was delayed.

According to L’Orient Today, each family member will receive the amount of $25 per month, with an additional $14 for those aged above 64 and a maximum of $126 a month per family.

The Minister stated that the payment will be in dollars or in Lebanese Pounds at the parallel market rate at the time of the payment. Families can register starting September 15, lasting till October 15 on this link.
