Reminder To All Lebanese Diaspora: Registration To Vote Ends Nov. 20

To all Lebanese diaspora, as we prepare for the upcoming 2022 elections, we’re here to remind you to register online before November 20, 2021 if you are not going to be in Lebanon at the time.

Local NGO Sawti has also made the registration process easier for you by compiling and highlighting all the important dates you should know before election day.


Lebanese expats are now given the full right to actively participate in the country’s political scene – as they can vote for all 128 members.


Here’s a rundown of the full process:



1. When will registration take place?



Starting October 1, 2021, to November 20, 2021.




2. Who can register?



Non-residents who hold Lebanese citizenship and were born before March 30, 2001.




3. How can you register?



You can register online through this

 link.

You may also register at the Lebanese Embassy or at your respective general consulates – depending on where you are.




4. What do you need in order to register?



A Lebanese passport OR a Lebanese identity card OR an individual or family civil registry (إخراج قيد فردي أو عائلي).

You are also required to bring them with you ON THE DAY OF ELECTIONS in order to cast your vote.





Please note that you can only register if you will not be in Lebanon at the time of the elections.

Elections are set to be held on March 27, 2022.
