9 Things We Love To Hate About Summer In Lebanon

We really do love the summer, but there are a few things we wished this season could go without… 1. Turning into meals for mosquitos It feels like they’ve mutated over the last few years because their buzzing has gotten 1000x more annoying. 2. Coming home to no electricity after a day at the beach No electricity = no hot water = smelling like sea salt/chlorine for a hot minute. 3. Overcrowded beaches La2anno kelna ta3beneen w badna nenboset shway 3al baher bas ma hada ha yenboset la2anno l nes fo2 ba3da. 4. Air conditioning Mafi menno. 5. Walking anywhere in Beirut Going anywhere by foot feels like walking through hellfire and back. 6. Seatbelt burns It’s 36 degrees out. You get into your car after leaving it in the sun for over an hour. You get a third degree burn after accidentally bumping into the metal part of your seatbelt. 7. Seeing kids EVERYWHERE Summer means school’s out, so now you have to deal with screaming, crying, annoying kids. 8. Getting sunburned Mostly cos sunblock probably costs like 300,000LL now. 9. Walking out of air-conditioned supermarkets You stop breathing for a second.
