Great White Shark Caught By Saida Fisherman
A rare and largely elusive White Shark has just been caught by a fisherman in Saida after the large fish approached bait intended for fishing. Photos and a video of the catch are found in the tweet below.
Fishermen in the area were quick to clarify that this type of shark is not typically found in Lebanon’s regional waters, and normally follows huge vessels coming from European or African waters. Despite their rep, culling sharks is dangerous and disrupts the marine ecosystems.
Safe to say many of us just cancelled our swimming plans this weekend!
