Lebanon Qualifies For Basketball World Cup

Lebanon’s national basketball team has officially qualified for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 after beating the Indian team 95 to 63.

The Cedars have proven themselves to be valuable opponents on the basketball court with several wins under their belt in the qualifier matches. The team had previously landed second to Australia in the Asian Cup just last month, and Wael Arakji was named the Most Valuable Player.

The Cedars have previously qualified for the FIBA Basketball World Cup in 2002, 2006, and 2010. We are extremely proud of our national team as it excels despite severe shortages in funding. Best of luck!
