In Memory Of Lebanese Actor Shawki Matta
Earlier today, news of the passing of the revered Lebanese actor Shawki Matta circulated on social media.
His son, actor Kamil Matta took to his Twitter account to pay respects to his late father saying, “You are my heart, and life without you does not have a pulse”.
The respected actor, producer, and director had worked in the industry for decades in both the Lebanese and Egyptian scenes.
Tributes poured in from Arab actors, celebrities, and media personalities who shared their own memories and respects.
With a filmography of more than 35 films, Matta is most well known for his roles in The Age of the Harem (2008), Naji Al-Ali (1992), The Last Passage (1982) and The Return of the Hero (1983).
Matta was 74 years old at the time of his passing. May he Rest In Peace.
