Watch These Three Lebanese Films For Free With “Cinema For All”
Despite the many crises and obstacles, Lebanon’s film scene continues to shine through as a beacon of cultural production in the region. That’s why Cinema For All is striving to bring the best of Lebanese films to local audiences, particularly ones that have long gone without access.
Founded in 2019 by filmmakers Mira Shaib and Zeina Badran, Cinema For All is an initiative to “widen the knowledge of Lebanese cinema to remote villages and areas in Lebanon where cinema accessibility is not available.”
This year’s edition of Cinema For All will be held completely online as the films will be broadcast on the “Eventive” platform between November 11 and 15. This year’s selection includes three films that have not been released theatrically in Lebanon.
The films to be screened are:
– Octopus by Karim Kassem
– Beating Hearts by Cyril Aris
– Underdown by Sarah Kaskas
Make sure you get the access code for each film from Cinema For All’s Instagram account, after that it is as easy as logging in and streaming.
If you’re looking to immerse yourself in the Lebanese film scene, this is a great place to start. So this November 11th, grab some popcorn and enjoy some of the finest movie productions Lebanon has to offer.
