Dr. Sandrine Explains How To Make Sex Toys Out Of Household Items
Renowned Lebanese psychosexologist Dr. Sandrine Atallah, M.D, who has spearheaded the promotion of sexual health in the Middle East for over a decade, just shared some useful tips and tricks on how you can turn simple household items into sex toys.
In a video done for Beirut-based Arabic media network Raseef22, Atallah covers everything from dildo and butt plug alternatives to make-shift vibrators and DIY BDSM toys (yes, you can find those in your own home).
Since sex toys are illegal in Lebanon, and most items are no longer attainable due to the economic crisis, here are some of Dr. Sandrine’s useful tips to optimize your sex life:
On dildos and butt plugs:
Any phallic-shaped object would do, but make sure that it is thoroughly cleaned before and after using it. Dr. Sandrine emphasizes the importance of using condoms (or latex gloves, which are relatively cheaper) for cleanliness.
And don’t forget the lube!
On vibrators:
Possible alternatives: – Vibrating back massagers – Phones put on vibrate (which she warns may cause burns if the phone overheats) – Electric toothbrushes (which also could be harmful if not used carefully) – Vibrating facial cleansers – Showerheads
Her take-away: you can get creative, but make sure the items you’re using will not harm you. Don’t get too carried away.
On BDSM toys:
The easiest toys to DIY at home, such as blindfolds, handcuffs, and any leather materials (which you’ll find plenty of at home)—it all depends on your kink.
What would we do without you, Dr. Sandrine? Happy humping…or all of the above.
