Metropolis International Documentary Film Festival Returns For 18th Edition

Between April 27th and May 7th, Metropolis’s Écran du Reel will return for its 18th edition, showcasing the best of local and international documentary films across Lebanon.

The screenings will take place across Cinema Montaigne and Grand Cinemas Galaxy in Beirut, with screenings in Tripoli, Saida, and Hammana planned after May 7.

A whole host of short and feature length films await, with some highlights including:

– A Lost Heart And Other Dreams Of Beirut by Maya Abdul-Malak – 8:00 PM, April 27 at Cinema Montaigne.
– Tales of the Purple House by Abbas Fahdel – 5:00 PM, April 30 at Galaxy Grand Cinemas.
– Aurora by Inna Sahakyan – 8:00 PM, May 2 at Cinema Montaigne.
– After the End of the World by Nadim Mishlawi – 7:30 PM, May 7 at Galaxy Grand Cinemas

Tickets to the screenings will be sold at the door and are priced as follows:

Ticket Price: 200,000 LBP
Student Price: 100,000 LBP
Festival Pass: 2,600,000 LBP
Student Pass: 1,600,000 LBP

With over 25 films ready to grace the big screen, most for the first time in Lebanon, this film festival offers a wonderful opportunity for connoisseurs and enthusiasts alike to enjoy thought provoking and creative portrayals of the world around us.
