Chilling Video Shows Devastation In Aita El Shaab

A heartbreaking video circulating on social media shows the current state of the southern village of Aita El Shaab. The village exemplifies the ongoing strife of the people of South Lebanon. Located on the fringes of the occupational state of Israel, the haunting footage unfolds in a scene of desolation, revealing the profound impact of relentless Israeli aggressions.

Much like many other border villages met with devastation since October 7, it has now been reduced to ruins. The village appears deserted, and many of its houses have been destroyed.

The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) revealed that as of December 26, 2023, over 74,400 individuals have been displaced from South Lebanon due to the hostilities along the border. Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health also disclosed that there have been over 115 deaths and 500 injuries.
