6 New Beirut Restaurants To Keep On Your Radar

Beirut has been buzzing with new spots over the last year, and the openings don’t seem to be slowing down, thankfully! If you’re looking for something new to try or a spot to make a favorite, check out these six restaurants.

1. Bobo Fou

Self-described as French and Italian Riviera flair with a dash of Greek, this stunning new place is a feast for the belly and the eyes. Located on Abdel Wahab St. in Achrafieh, the space features a jaw-dropping marble bar with botanical and bird motifs all around.

The food is just as good as the decor, with the bresaola croque sandwiches being the perfect sharing appetizer, and the grilled octopus and truffle linguine packing a delicious punch.

Their cocktail menu and musical selection are also a 10/10.

2. Brasserie à Trois

Beautiful traditional tile, high ceilings, and an excellent ambiance! This spot is just a few days old, so we couldn’t dig up too much information about it. It is located near Bread Republic in Achrafieh, and we can presume they serve good ole French brasserie food!

3. BAL Beirut

Where good food, drinks, and vibes come together, BAL is a welcome addition to the Mar Mikhael scene. Candlelit tables and mirrors accent the space, serving as a perfect back-drop for their fresh food.

The cocktails are well-crafted, and the tiny but mighty menu features Asian inspired dishes that are ideal for sharing.

4. Plume

A bright addition to Downtown Beirut, this brasserie’s beautiful, colorful walls will take your breath away. Whether you drop by for a leisurely lunch or dinner and drinks, this Italian and Japanese fusion spot has something for everyone.

Plume’s menu features fresh salads, pizzas and pasta, as well as a Nikkei section with Asian favorites like tuna maki and salmon salad. On sunny days, you can enjoy your meal on the terrace.

5. UN PEU FOU

Currently selectively open just for a soft launch, this beautiful place on the St. Nicolas stairs is all about delicious food and fresh ingredients. Brightly colored walls and an experimental menu make for a unique place to have lunch or dinner. From what we can tell, freshly baked goods and unique offerings like crumble with a tomato sorbet are on the menu, as well as lamb shank dishes and more. Keep you eye on this space!

6. MARROW

Another spot that’s opening soon, this meaty barbecue spot is tucked away in Gemmayze in the zaroube after Souk el Tayeb. From what we can tell, it seems to be dedicated to all things meat (and hopefully, marrow) as well as some delicious crafted cocktails!
