Brevet Official Exams To Be Cancelled For 2024

During an appearance on MTV’s Sar El Wa2et program, Minister of Education in Lebanon’s caretaker government Abbas Halabi announced that the ministry was heading towards cancelling Brevet official exams for the school year 2024. The exams had also been cancelled last year due to what was referred to as “logistical difficulties”.

The minister did not mention the fate of the Bacc II exams.

The Brevet exams are to reportedly be replaced by a unified exam conducted by schools to assess readiness. Al Halabi also promised students that the extremely outdated curriculum is set to be updated.

All this in light of the ongoing war on South Lebanon.
