It’s Finally Sunny, Here Are Things You Can Enjoy Again In Beirut

So many sunny days are ahead of us, and we’re excited to make the most of the clear blue skies and breezy weather. Here are some things we’re happy to be doing again in Beirut now that the weather allows it.

1. Sipping coffee at your go-to outdoor cafés in the city

You can finally step outside and enjoy a peaceful morning while sipping on your favorite coffee order! There are so many coffee spots in the city, but if you’re looking for a café with outdoor seating, consider spots like Edda Arabica in Clemenceau, Kalei Coffee Co. in Mar Mikhael and Ras Beirut, and Café Younes in Hamra.

2. Strolling through the vibrant streets (without getting cold or rained on)

Remedy a bad mood with a stroll in the city. Discover hidden gems, enjoy the sunny weather, and stop by local furns for a quick bite to keep your energy up.

3. Grabbing lunch at Beirut’s most charming garden spots

There’s nothing better than enjoying a meal with a cool spring breeze and a little greenery. Beirut might be a concrete jungle, but there are so many natural spots that will feel like an escape. Try Dar El Wardieh in Hamra, Makan in Mar Mikhael, or Sirena in Ras Beirut.

4. Spending the day with our dogs in the city

If your dog is the diva type that refuses to get their paws wet, then it’s finally time for them to enjoy a day out! Luckily for you, we have a guide for how to spend the day with your dog in Beirut right here. From pet-friendly spots to public gardens!

5. Enjoying all the good vibes on the St. Nicolas Stairs in Achrafieh

Vibrant and lively, the St. Nicolas Stairs are not only a chill spot to sit down and snap a few cool shots, but they also have some of the best places for a good bite. How about some Italian at Bavaglino? Or a laidback visit to The Grand Meshmosh Hotel?

6. Day drinking at all our favorite bar trottoirs

We have a list of 17 amazing bar trottoirs in Beirut that are best enjoyed in this weather. Invite your friends for a post-work drink, share some nibbles, and make the most out of the spring weather before it becomes too hot to enjoy a drink outside without air conditioning.

7. Devouring the toumiest shawarma on the sidewalk by our favorite Lebanese snacks

We miss enjoying the simpler things, including being able to have a steaming shawarma with your friends as soon as the shawarma vendor hands it to you. Sometimes we’re just THAT hungry. At least we don’t have to frantically run to our cars and stink it up with the smell of toum because of the rain.
