This Lebanese Restaurant Made Fried Wara2 3inab, And We’re Confused

In the words of Don Corleone…”look how they massacred my boy”.

Our beloved wara2 3inab, our pride and joy, has received a rather interesting facelift at the Tripoli-based restaurant Baytna, which chose to deep fry the stuffed grape leaves.

Their new take on the classic dish involves dipping the stuffed grape leaves in vermicelli batter and deep frying them until they are golden.

Confusing? Yes. Enticing? Maybe.

Thankfully for us food purists, Baytna also serves traditional wara2 3inab, as well as a medley of delicious Lebanese food. They specialize in meat dishes and have a little something for everyone.
