Mother’s Day Crowds At Hermes In Beirut Cause A Stir

Beirut witnessed an unexpected surge in adrenaline levels as Mother’s Day crowds swarmed the local Hermes store, causing more commotion than Em Sherif at iftar.

In a city that has become synonymous with an immeasurable wealth gap, a video circulating online showed an entire herd of Lebanon’s elite wearing their Thursday best (which surprisingly was a lot of leather?) and heading over to the exclusive brand’s Downtown boutique to pick up what is probably their third Kelly of the year.

With an entry-level bag costing a few thousand dollars and easily reaching $20,000 – $30,000 for more exclusive pieces, Hermes is the ultimate playground of the wealthy in Lebanon.

Happy Mother’s Day to the 1%, we guess?
