Is B For Burger In Monot Even Good? Here Are Our Thoughts

We were on the lookout to try a new burger joint, then lo and behold, we came across B for Burger on Instagram. Their offerings looked appetizing, and after browsing their menu, we found out they make secret burgers – and that was all it took for us to call and make a reservation.

The joint wasn’t that hard to locate, and there are a bunch of parking spaces available in the area (but to be fair, we visited on a Monday night, so that’s probably why we got lucky). If you walk down the street and pass Drink & Sing, which is located near the Celtic Irish Pub, you’ll find B for Burger after you round the corner.

As soon as we walked in, we were welcomed by their friendly staff who were all smiles. The place isn’t super spacious, but it’s not too small, so if you’re going out as a group of 3-4 people, you can sit comfortably.

What we ordered (and their ratings)

We asked about their secret burger menu, and it’s basically when the chef takes the liberty to cook up a unique burger on the spot. That means there really is no secret menu or a recipe that the chef follows, they just come up with something new for you to enjoy. The staff explained to us that the chef never makes the same burger twice.

We decided to order:

  • A secret burger (9/10)
  • The Melted Heart (8/10)
  • The Canadian (8/10)

And for appetizers, we went based off the staff’s recommendations:

  • Maki style beef rolls (8/10)
  • Q Chicken (7/10)
  • An off-menu mushroom dish (9/10)

A more detailed review

Since the appeal of this joint was their secret menu, we’re mostly going to focus on the secret burger. It was hard to tell what exactly was used to make it, but it did not disappoint. The patty was juicy and the flavors weren’t overwhelming, so we didn’t feel uncomfortably full by the time we finished (and yes, we emptied the plates). It was a balanced blend of sweet and savory, with a charred aftertaste and a hint of alcohol that really tied the whole thing together. And if you don’t like alcohol in your burger, you can inform the staff member taking your order. We also ordered another secret burger to take home!

As for the appetizers, the off-menu mushroom dish was excellent and the most memorable out of all the appetizers. The dish consists of fried strips of onion made to look like noodles, seasoned mushrooms, and parmesan on top.

The Q chicken was also delicious. We decided to rate it lower only because of how much we really loved the mushroom dish. We loved the Maki style beef rolls, but they were a bit overwhelming. Since they’re 6 thick pieces of beef, wrapped in bacon (your choice of beef or pork bacon), and stuffed with cheese, you can’t have more than one or two so it’s a good appetizer to share.

Other things we loved

We loved their “Wall Of Memories”. Everyone who visits gets a polaroid picture taken, and it’s then hung up on their wall. Next time you visit, try to spot our picture!

And the women’s bathroom has red LED lights, so it has the perfect vibe for a mirror selfie. We took more time taking pictures than we did eating our food. Where’s that TikToker that reviews bathrooms around Lebanon? We need her honest opinion, because we thought it was cool.

Disadvantage

Our only issue was that the joint is located right next to a nightclub, so if you’re hoping for a chill late night bite, the thumping music might get a little annoying.

Final verdict

We would definitely recommend this place to our fellow burger lovers.
