Heartwarming: Lebanese “Zaffeh” Takes Place in Displaced Shelter

A heartwarming video shared from the Baakline Official Secondary School showed a displaced family celebrating a new bride with a Lebanese “zaffeh”.

The simple “zaffeh” featured the bride, her family, and several people at the shelter who joined the celebration. Distributing cookies and congratulating the bride, the small gesture brought joy to the shelter.

With the groom traveling and his bride expected to join him in the coming days, her family wanted to seize a moment of celebration with her and create lasting memories before she leaves. It was a brief but meaningful moment that allowed everyone to momentarily forget the current situation.

Congratulations to the newlyweds! We’re happy to see the Lebanese community finding joy, even in such challenging times. As the community navigates the grim war, events like this serve as a reminder of the strength and support found within families and friends.

May this joyful occasion inspire hope and brighter days ahead for everyone!
