After being closed off for years due to what was branded as ‘security measures,’ the streets surrounding Lebanon’s Parliament have finally reopened. The Parliamentary guards announced that all roads leading to Nejmeh Square, from the Masaref Street to Downtown Beirut, are now accessible to the public without any restrictions.
This move aims to breathe new life into the heart of the capital, marking a fresh chapter in Lebanon’s history following the election of a new president and the formation of a promising government.
Footage shared by Annahar shows traffic gradually returning to Masaref Street and nearby roads as barriers are being removed.
Mabrouk, everyone.
