For 3 Days Only: Free Entry to Museums and Archaeological Sites Across Lebanon!

The Directorate General of Antiquities at the Ministry of Culture has announced that entry to museums and archeological sites across Lebanon will be free from Wednesday, May 14 until Friday, May 16.

This step aims to encourage people to learn more about Lebanon’s cultural heritage and rediscover the beauty of our rich history.

Many of Lebanon’s most unique museums will be open to the public for free during this limited-time event. One we especially want to highlight is the National Museum of Beirut—one of the capital’s most important cultural institutions.

The museum houses a remarkable collection of archaeological and historical treasures, including ancient statues, rare artifacts, sarcophagi, and tombs dating back thousands of years. Its exhibits span multiple eras, from the Phoenicians to the Romans and other civilizations that have shaped Lebanon’s history.

And don’t forget to explore the many other heritage sites across Lebanon! From Baalbek, the City of the Sun, to the Phoenician ruins of Tyre, the palaces of Beiteddine, and Byblos—one of the oldest cities in the world—there’s no shortage of history to uncover.

Many of these landmarks are even UNESCO World Heritage Sites, which you can discover here.

Which archeological site or museum will you visit on the National Heritage Day? Send this to someone who might enjoy free entry to museums or archeological sites in Lebanon!
