In honor of International Museum Day, AUB’s Geology Museum is hosting a fun, hands-on event. “Earth in a Museum” is an open museum day at AUB for all ages, packed with science, discovery, and cool interactive activities.
It’s happening at Post Hall, Second Floor, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM—and admission is totally free.
Kids aged 3–13 can become Junior Geoscientists for a day through creative activities and real geological tools. They’ll explore volcanoes, fossils, rocks, maps, plate tectonics, and even microscopes in a fun, approachable way.
Starting at 2:00 PM, the event kicks off guided tours of the museum, open to visitors of all ages. You’ll learn how geoscientists study the Earth and why their work matters for the planet’s future. The museum team will also explain how Earth science helps us protect natural resources and build a sustainable world.
Expect a full day of learning, discovery, and hands-on fun that makes science exciting for everyone. The event is hosted by AUB’s Department of Earth Sciences, and registration is required to attend. Scan the QR code or sign up via their online form to save your spot.
Bring your kids, your curiosity, and your love for science—this is an exciting museum day you don’t want to miss.
