One Day, One Neighborhood: 12 Hours in Achrafieh

Who says you can’t spend a full day in Achrafieh? Whether you’re craving coffee, culture, or cheap bites, here’s an hourly breakdown for spending 12 hours in Achrafieh.

Morning (8 AM until 11 AM): Coffee and breakfast bites

1. Start off your day with a coffee run at Café Amor

This charming café is perfect for early birds and creatives looking for a peaceful spot to enjoy some alone time, or get some work done.

2. Stop by ENN for a filling breakfast

A healthy café that’s the ultimate breakfast and brunch spot in Achrafieh. You and your friends can expect delicious stacks of pancakes if you’re in the mood for something sweet, or a truffle and parmesan omelette if you’re craving something savory.

Midday (11 AM until 2 PM): Fun activities and other stops

3. Get creative by DIY-ing martini-shaped candles at Iconik

The most fun thing to do in Beirut if you’re looking for a cool indoor activity that lets you stay seated with AC. Iconik also offers a number of creative workshops that you can partake in if you’re not in the mood for turning your favorite summer cocktail into a candle.

4. Act like a tourist and discover the stunning formations at the MIM Museum

This is one of the world’s most thrilling private collections of minerals, both for the variety and quality of its timeless pieces. It exhibits more than 1800 minerals, showcasing almost 400 different species from over 70 countries!

Afternoon (2 PM until 5 PM): Cafés and casual hangouts

5. Soak up some sun at Agora‘s hidden garden

With a spacious interior for cozy get-togethers and a gorgeous terrace and garden for serene outings, Agora offers the perfect blend of nostalgia and modern charm.

6. Discover Snoubar Bayrout, a charming bookshop for anyone looking for their next read

An adorable bookshop for bookworms to uncover, or if you’re curious and looking for a place where you probably won’t run into anyone you know.

Evening (5 PM – 8 PM): Dinner, then a sweet treat

7. Chow down on the signature burgers at East Village, then wash them down with a few drinks

This spot is a perfect place to take the pickiest eaters. East Village prides itself on its quality bites that are simple yet absolutely delicious. You’ll enjoy their dimly-lit vibes, especially on a night out with friends.

8. Grab a delicious pastry from Des Choux Et Des Idees

Make sure to treat yourself to something sweet after dinner. If you don’t go for one of the desserts at East Village, then head over to Des Choux Et Des Idees for yummy pastries before they close at 9 PM.

Night (8 PM until late): Drinks and fun

9. Head over to Cafébrairie 33 for a night of full of drinks and meaningful conversations about books

Who said bookworms could only hang out at libraries? This spot combines everything we love about cafés, libraries, and Beirut nightlife. Good coffee, great reads, and a lively crowd that keeps the energy going.

10. Or vibe to some jazz tunes at The Wine Room

If you happen to pass by on one of their jazz nights, you’ll get to enjoy something from their wine bar while you soak in the music and the cozy atmosphere.
