Heya Ride: Lebanon’s First Women-Only Ride-Hailing App

Meet Heya Ride, Lebanon’s first and only female-only ride-hailing app. Designed exclusively for women, Heya Ride connects female passengers with female drivers, offering a safe and empowering way to travel.

For many women in Lebanon, using regular taxis or ride apps can feel unsafe. Harassment and uncomfortable encounters are all too common. A simple ride home shouldn’t come with stress, but for many, it does.

That’s why four university students decided to create Heya Ride: a safer, more respectful alternative where women don’t have to second-guess their trip.

Heya Ride quickly took off. The app already has over 1,000 active users. It’s giving women across Lebanon a safer, more comfortable way to get around. With an all-female driver network, riders feel at ease, and drivers get the chance to earn in a supportive space.

This wonderful initiative promotes safer spaces for women, especially during daily commutes. Whether it’s heading to work, university, or a night out with friends, Heya Ride gives women peace of mind from the moment they book their ride to the moment they arrive.

There’s a dedicated app for drivers and another for passengers, making it easy for women to either book a ride or start driving.
