We’re sure this video is going to make you smile. Remember the Australian reporter who went viral for unleashing his inner Lebanese back in 2023? It’s happening again, and this time, with a different reporter.
There must be something in the sauce at Mount Lewis Pizzeria, a Lebanese-owned spot in Sydney. These reporters seem to be walking in for a story and walking out fully Lebanese. Watch the full video here:
During the live report for Sunrise, Australian reporter Katie Brown looks like she got a little overwhelmed by the power of Lebanese culture.
We hope you got the TikTok reference…
Anyway, the report starts off pretty tame. She’s giving viewers a tour of the pizzeria, highlighting some standout breakfast bites like their fresh man’ouchet zaatar and jebneh. But things quickly escalate.
Before you know it, she’s swept into a dabke line, a belly dancer (with fire props, no less) joins the scene, and the whole place starts to feel like your average morning in Beirut.
We hope Mount Lewis Pizzeria keeps up this tradition of turning Australians into Lebanese people. This is the woke colonialism we’re rooting for.
