A Texas restaurateur who founded a MAGA-themed burger joint may now face deportation after Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested him.
Lebanese-born Roland Mehrez Beainy co-founded Trump Burger, known for its bold political branding. The menu features items like the Trump Tower Burger and the Melania Crispy Chicken.
Beainy came to the U.S. from Lebanon in 2019 on a temporary visitor visa. Immigration officials say his visa expired in February of last year.
Federal authorities also allege that the 28-year-old attempted to gain legal status through what they describe as a fraudulent marriage. He was taken into custody on May 16, released on bond in June, and is now awaiting a November immigration court hearing. The court hearing will decide whether he can remain in the United States.
When your restaurant theme supports tougher immigration laws, but those laws knock on your own door…
Seems like having a Lebanese Trump fandom won’t save you from getting deported.
