For the First Time Ever: Palestine to Join the Miss Universe Stage
Nadeen Ayoub is making history this November as Palestine’s first-ever contestant at the Miss Universe pageant.
Ayoub, crowned Miss Palestine in 2022, is a former Miss Earth finalist who placed in the top five that year. She delayed her participation in Miss Universe but believes now is the time to step onto the global stage.
Ayoub wants to use Miss Universe as a platform to amplify Palestinian voices and challenge stereotypes about her people. The 74th edition of the pageant will be taking place on November 21 in Pak Kret, Thailand.
She announced her participation on social media, wearing a traditional tatreez dress by Palestinian designer Hiba Abdelkarim.
The Dubai- and Ramallah-based beauty queen is also a certified wellness coach and founder of Olive Green Academy, promoting sustainability and women’s empowerment. Ayoub says she hopes to show the world that Palestinian women are leaders, innovators, and changemakers as well as resilient and beautiful.
