London’s Famous Scalini Is Opening Soon in Beirut!

Beirut’s dining scene is about to get a major upgrade. Scalini, the legendary Italian restaurant born in Chelsea, London back in 1988, is officially opening its doors in the city.

Known worldwide for its authentic Italian cooking and elegant trattoria vibe, Scalini has already made its mark in places like Dubai, Cannes, Egypt, Doha, Riyadh, and Bahrain. Now it’s Beirut’s turn.

What to expect

Scalini is known for taking simple, authentic Italian flavors and elevating them with flair. Diners can expect classics like Spaghetti all’Astice, a rich lobster pasta that has become a house favorite, and the decadent Tagliolini al Tartufo Nero, tossed with parmesan and black truffle right inside a giant cheese wheel.

Seafood is also a big part of the experience, with dishes such as grilled king prawns, carpaccio di branzino, and Dover sole prepared with care. Of course, no Italian menu is complete without pizza and hearty pastas. Scalini offers everything from creamy truffle pizzas to traditional lasagna, alongside fresh salads and antipasti.

And then, there’s dessert. The legendary Bombolini alla Nutella are a must-try, sitting proudly next to tiramisu, cannoli, and Scalini’s signature cheesecake.

The prices

Since the restaurant hasn’t officially opened its doors, there’s no way to tell how much they’ll be pricing their dishes. However, here’s the average cost at their Dubai location:

Where is it opening?

Their Instagram still says “Opening Soon” and doesn’t share further details, so make sure to follow them to keep an eye out.

But you can expect their restaurant to open in Minet El Hosn, near Mademoiselle and Amar.
