Is Saint Levant’s New Song About Lebanese Girls?

Has Saint Levant been everywhere this summer? Absolutely. Are we complaining? Not really. His new deluxe album for Love Letters just dropped, and one song sounds like it’s about Lebanese girls.

It’s not confirmed, but…hear us out.

A Breakdown of the Lyrics

The pre-chorus kicks off with:

تحكي عربي مكسر

She speaks broken Arabic

كلميني انجليزي عادي

Talk to me in plain English

Tan fake بشرتها لون الزيتونة مش تاعت

Her skin is olive-toned, not that fake tan

Jordan متزرش الأردن يا معلم نازلة ع

She doesn’t visit ordon, she’s flying to Jordan

Paris وديني

Send me to Paris

Please طب بوسة

A kiss, please

بتمشي الدنيا بعنيها ما بدها واسطة

She runs the world with her eyes and doesn’t need a wasta

And not to mention the “Hi albe” and “eno saraha Marwan” ad libs. The fluid code-switching between English and Arabic is common in Saint Levant’s songs, but these lyrics do lean towards Lebanese.

But the cherry on top is definitely that one line in the chorus that goes like:

حاطة ماتشا بلتيها

She put matcha in her latte

So, is Saint Levant’s new song really about Lebanese girls? Hard to say…but the lyrics definitely hit close to home. Either way, this might just be one of his most fun songs yet.
