Lebanon Announces 5G Launch with a Three-Year Nationwide Rollout

Lebanon’s Minister of Telecommunications Charles Hage has announced the official launch of 5G in Lebanon.

In a post on X, he revealed that the Ministry of Telecommunications, working alongside the recently reactivated Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) and in collaboration with mobile operators Alfa and Touch, has launched a three-year project to upgrade networks across the country and roll out 5G nationwide.

Ultra-fast speeds of up to 10 gigabits per second, tens of times faster than 4G. You can download an HD movie in seconds or stream 4K videos without buffering.

🔗 Massive connectivity that supports millions of devices at once, paving the way for smart cities, self-driving cars, and advanced AI applications.

🔋 Greater efficiency with lower energy consumption.

🌍 More stable coverage, even in crowded places like stadiums and festivals, ensuring a consistent, high-quality connection.

The fifth generation of mobile networks represents a major leap forward, not only in speed but in opportunity. With the growing importance of online work, education, and entertainment, Lebanese users are in real need of this upgrade.

Beyond faster connections, 5G is expected to improve communication quality, create new job opportunities (especially in the tech sector), and boost Lebanon’s GDP as network infrastructure is modernized.
