This weekend, Tawfeer Supermarket kicked off the holiday season with an incredibly heartwarming initiative that puts the spotlight on giving back. In partnership with Tamanna, the Lebanese NGO that grants wishes for children facing critical illnesses, Tawfeer launched a Christmas campaign aimed at making the dreams of nine children across Lebanon come true.
The wishes themselves are touching. Some children dream of meeting a sports hero, others of taking their first trip abroad or enjoying a boat ride with their family. Some hope for medical treatment that will help them feel stronger, while others want a small gaming corner to escape into play. None of these wishes are extravagant. They’re deeply personal and remind us of how powerful a single moment of happiness can be.
The commendable announcement took place at Tawfeer’s Tabarja branch during a festive event filled with music, community spirit, and the lighting of a giant Christmas tree. Representatives from Tawfeer and Tamanna were present, along with a children’s choir that set the mood with a full holiday recital.
This year, shoppers can take part in the initiative by donating one dollar or more at checkout. Tawfeer will also contribute proceeds from a selection of products, turning everyday purchases into small acts of kindness. The goal is simple: help Tamanna bring joy, comfort, and unforgettable moments to nine children who are bravely navigating serious health challenges.
According to Tawfeer’s team, the campaign reflects their commitment to supporting the community and easing the holiday season for families who need it most. Tamanna’s president, Inas Fakhreddine, shared how impactful these contributions can be, explaining that each wish gives children strength and emotional relief during their medical journeys.
With Lebanon’s ongoing economic challenges, initiatives like this one help keep the spirit of solidarity alive. The campaign runs across all Tawfeer branches from December 1 to January 6, giving shoppers plenty of time to help make this Christmas a little brighter for children who truly deserve it.
