Telecommunications Minister Charles Hage has officially signed off on new commemorative postal stamps honoring the late Ziad Rahbani.
The four stamps feature some of his most iconic photographs, honoring the man whose compositions, lyrics, and sharp commentary shaped generations.
Rahbani joins his mother Fairuz in Lebanon’s philatelic hall of fame. The legendary singer was previously honored with her own stamp at LibanPost.
His stamps are set to be released next Wednesday.
Calling Ziad Rahbani a revolutionary figure in music, performance, and art is an understatement. His honest reflections resonated with audiences across the region, and his passing devastated millions.
Though he might have raised an eyebrow at being celebrated this way, this heartfelt tribute immortalizes his legacy.
