Hali Rahbani, the youngest son of iconic Lebanese singer Fairuz, sadly passed away today at the age of 68, after a life marked by profound health challenges.
Hali lived with both mental and physical disabilities after reportedly contracting meningitis at a young age, a condition that left him paralyzed and with limited prospects according to medical expectations at the time. Yet, what medical reports could not measure was the enduring strength of motherhood.
In recent years, a handful of rare photos surfaced, offering a glimpse into this exceptional mother-son bond and confirming that Hali’s absence from the spotlight was never neglect, but a conscious choice rooted in protection, dignity, and unconditional love.
His passing comes at a deeply painful time for the Rahbani family and for Lebanon’s cultural scene, following the recent death of his brother, legendary composer and playwright Ziad Rahbani, who passed away in July 2025 at the age of 69.
As Lebanon continues to bid farewell to pillars of its cultural heritage, Hali Rahbani’s death marks another quiet but profound loss for a family that shaped generations of music and art across the Arab world.
Our condolences go out to Fairuz, the Rahbani family, and their loved ones during this difficult time.
