Google Transit Is Finally Available in Lebanon! Here’s How To Use It

Big news for anyone who takes public transport in Lebanon: Google Transit is now officially available here for the first time.

This means public bus routes and schedules are integrated into Google Maps’ transit option so you can plan your trips just like you would in major cities around the world.

Lebanon’s new public bus network has been slowly growing, with lines connecting the capital to places like Tripoli, Saida, Sour, and the Bekaa Valley. Getting directions and route planning with public transport often meant guesswork or relying on unofficial maps and scattered info.

With Google Transit on Google Maps, you can now open Maps, type in your destination, and tap the “Transit” (🚌) icon to see buses serving your route, along with estimated travel times and routes.

Here’s how to use Google Transit in Lebanon

1. Open Google Maps on your phone or computer.

2. Enter your current location and destination.

3. Choose the Transit (🚌) option among the travel modes.

4. Google will show available buses, stops, and a step-by-step guide on how to get there.

This update works well with Lebanon’s new public bus system. Make sure to follow ACTC on Instagram for more updates like this!
